We Carmelite Missionaries, called to live fully the grace of baptism and to form a community in the name of the Lord, commit ourselves to follow more closely the chaste, poor and obedient Jesus.
Jesus of Nazareth, Son of God, who was born and lived as poor in the midst of his people Israel, making his the cause of men, “becoming one like them”, is the affective and true centre of our life.
Seduced by his person, we commit ourselves to this project of life and salvation:
To make all men and women know the Father, that they may live as brothers and sisters in fraternity, and to proclaim by their life and words the message of the Kingdom, the Beatitudes.
Jesus unites his words to his activities, revealing that the Kingdom he proclaims is already present in the midst of the people. He offers his love and his words to all; he treats each one as a brother/sister, favouring the little ones: the weak, the poor and the marginalized. He is the Prophet, Liberated and Liberator, who rejects the temptation to power, and all recourse to violence, defending the truth and proclaiming the command of LOVE. Some men from different social class joined him, drawn to his person and message. He gave his life for love unto the cross. Therefore, the Father raised him and made him Lord of Life, Head of the Church, Lord of the universe and of history.
